Zenith Bank Leadership Visits MOFI Headquarters, Explores Collaboration on National Growth
The leadership of Zenith Bank Plc, led by its Founder and Chairman, Jim Ovia, CFR, and the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, has paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Dr. Armstrong Takang, at the MOFI headquarters in Abuja.
The high-level engagement, held earlier in the week, centred on exploring avenues for deeper collaboration between MOFI and the private sector, particularly in strategic investments that can accelerate inclusive economic growth and development across Nigeria.
In a statement shared by Dr. Takang, he lauded Zenith Bank’s continued leadership and commitment to Nigeria’s economic transformation through innovation and long-term investments.
“At MOFI, we have always valued the powerhouses driving the Nigerian economy through strategic investments, innovation, and long-term commitment to the Nigerian growth project. Zenith Bank Plc is one such brand that has demonstrated faith in the promise of Nigeria, and has seen this faith robustly rewarded,” he stated.
Dr. Takang emphasized that MOFI’s strategic framework is built on developing broad-based partnerships with key stakeholders in both public and private sectors to create vehicles for intervention, impact, and sustainability. He noted that collaborations like the one being explored with Zenith Bank form part of MOFI’s mission to unlock value from government assets and foster national prosperity.
The MOFI boss further commended Jim Ovia for his enduring legacy of entrepreneurship and visionary leadership, describing him as a “bold symbol of private sector excellence in Nigeria.”
“I heartily thank Jim Ovia for being one of the bold symbols of entrepreneurial vision and private sector excellence in Nigeria. He is one son of Nigeria that we are truly proud of,” Dr. Takang remarked.

The visit reflects MOFI’s growing engagement with Nigeria’s corporate and financial sectors as part of the federal government’s broader drive to enhance public-private partnerships, deepen capital market participation, and stimulate sustainable national development.
